Since 2020, Project Aladdin has launched an initiative to mobilize young activists in more than 40 countries to confront the explosion of hate provoked by the Covid-19 pandemic. In partnership with educational establishments and sports clubs, the young participants design and launch local projects to rally young people against racism and bigotry. An expert committee composed of prominent scholars and researchers and led by Senegalese jurist Adama Dieng, the former Special Advisor to the UN Secretary General on genocide prevention and hate speech, oversees the project. The projects and their impact will be presented and discussed at an international conference at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris with the participation of representatives of several international organizations and governments.
