Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad of Bahrain received Project Aladdin’s delegation at a royal establishment and discussed with them joint educational programs focusing on youth and sports.
In a meeting with His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad, Representative of King Hamad for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and President of the Bahrain Olympics Committee, on November 15, 2021, members of Project Aladdin’s delegation were able to discuss with him and his senior aides a wide range of issues that covered the political situation in the region, the impact of the Abraham Accords, and the threat of violent extremism. Discussions included plans for a joint initiative between Bahrain and Project Aladdin to mobilize sports clubs and universities in Europe and the Middle East in an international campaign to address the rise of hate and intolerance among young people. The meeting was attended by Ayman Tawfeeq Almoayyad, Minister of Youth and Sport Affairs of Bahrain, and Sheikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
