In November 2021, Dr. Mohamed Abdelsalam, Secretary-General of the Higher Committee for Human Fraternity, hosted a lunch in Dubai for members of Project Aladdin’s delegation, during which the two organizations discussed avenues of cooperation to promote intercultural and interfaith understanding and tolerance. Dr. Abdelsalam, who has played a key role in the relationship that has been developed between Pope Francis and Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, and Project Aladdin’s leaders agreed to work on joint programs in areas of mutual interest with the Higher Committee for Human Fraternity.
