Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence of the United Arab Emirates, met with the President and the Executive Director of Project Aladdin, on October 7, 2021 in Rome. When a delegation from Project Aladdin visited Abu Dhabi a month later, Sheikh Nahyan received the members at his residence and welcomed them to the United Arab Emirates. 

Sheikh Nahyan expressed support for the various initiatives of Project Aladdin and pointed out that the Ministry of Tolerance is pursuing similar goals by promoting respect for diversity and celebration of differences. He expressed hope that Project Aladdin will work with UAE institutions in the field of education, youth and intercultural and interreligious engagement.
