UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs endorses joint programs with Project Aladdin to curb hate groups on campus

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development of the UAE, received Project Aladdin’s delegation at his private residence in Abu Dhabi, in November 2021, and expressed his support for joint initiatives aimed at curbing hate groups and extremists. 

During a long and cordial exchange with the members of Project Aladdin’s delegation, UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan described the Emirati foreign policy vision and objectives. The Minister pointed out that the region has suffered for decades from stagnation and stalemate and that “out of the box” thinking was needed to resolve these longstanding issues and move the entire region forward. He declared his full support for joint initiatives between the UAE and Project Aladdin in areas of mutual interest, including advocacy for a stronger policy to curb the power and influence of hate groups and extremists. On behalf of the delegation, Dr. Leah Pisar thanked the Minister for his stance in promoting peace and intercultural rapprochement. She offered the group’s congratulations to the UAE on the fiftieth anniversary of the foundation of the federation.
